Institute of Student Employers has appointed former Board Director Karen Luckly-Tang as Fellow.
As well as holding a role on the board for the full four-year term, Karen has a long history with ISE from judging awards, supporting events and buddying to stepping into the role of Sector Champion for the finance sector group.
A seasoned senior HR professional and talent acquisition lead, Karen is currently Head of Future Talent at Legal & General and also a school governor. She has over two decades of experience within early careers gained within finance and media across the UK and EMEA.
Fellows play an important role in the ISE, participating in developing areas such as policy and governance. In her new role, Karen will support and inform the development of our membership alongside ISE Directors Dr Steve Gaskin, Laura Anderson and James Austen.
Karen is passionate about finance and apprenticeships, yet has a broad range of interests and expertise from levy use and assessments to I&D attraction. She also mentors and provides career support within the early careers community.
A word from Karen…
“ISE has always been part of my early careers life. There is lots of my work that I couldn’t have achieved without it and I’m proud to have been awarded this opportunity.
“I’m particularly passionate about the ISE membership and ensuring that all are receiving the support that they need. It’s also important that we have our eyes on the future and ensure we remain relevant to grow. I hope to help shape our future as well as understanding about what membership might mean to organisations who are approaching early talent differently.”
